A modern Italian steakhouse called DePaul’s Table is set to replace The Bercy in Ardmore this spring.
The partnership between restaurateur Anthony DePaul and Stove & Co. Restaurant Group aims to have a “brighter, lighter and fresher take” on Philadelphia-area steakhouses with dry-aged cuts, seafood, flatbreads and other Italian staples. The 190-seat restaurant at 7 E. Lancaster Ave. in Ardmore is slated to open in April or May.
DePaul built his reputation over the last 20 years with companies like Starr Restaurants, LaScala’s Restaurant & Bar and stints in Atlantic City at Marc Forgione’s American Cut Steakhouse at Revel and The Borgata. He’s currently the general manager of The Chophouse in Gibbsboro, New Jersey.
Stove & Co. has been on a hot streak, opening a third Stove & Tap location in West Chester last month and soon opening Revival Pizza Pub in Chester Springs.
The opening of DePaul’s Table in Ardmore is continuing Stove & Co.’s goal to build a bigger restaurant ecosystem in Philadelphia’s suburbs. DePaul said in a statement that he wants to build on an already “amazing” dining scene in Ardmore.
“I want to have all hands on deck to help revitalize the Main Line restaurant scene after the shutdown and economic challenges of the last year,” DePaul said. “I also see this as an opportunity to bring something to Ardmore that doesn’t currently exist.”

DePaul’s Table will be housed in the former spot of The Bercy, a French concept that was owned by Stove & Co. It’s also the former site of the Haverford Trust Bank, which dates back to the early 1900s. The restaurant will span several floors comprised of a main dining room, a mezzanine and an upper level event space. Renovations on the space began this week.
The 190 seats at DePaul’s Table will be split between the dining rooms and the bar, as well as three private dining and party spaces. The bar will have 40 seats, which also serves as an extended raw bar with oyster, shrimp cocktail and flatbreads.
Helming the kitchen will be Chef Jose Galicia of The Chophouse. Galicia’s menu features dry-aged steaks, porcini-dusted scallops and wood-fired flatbreads, as well as some pasta dishes and chicken fingers for kids or a crab cake sandwich, flatbreads and salads for more casual meals.
DePaul’s Table will open with indoor and outdoor service, serving dinner, happy hour and catering. Lunch, brunch and a late-night menu will be offered later on. DePaul said his namesake restaurant will be able to serve customers looking for a power lunch, a romantic date or a family occasion.
“I want DePaul’s Table to be a place where our guests can feel at home and share their own memories and experiences together,” DePaul said. “I wanted to create a place I would be proud of and that I could see my own family enjoying.”
