A modern Italian steakhouse called DePaul’s Table is set to replace The Bercy in Ardmore this spring.
The partnership between restaurateur Anthony DePaul and Stove & Co. Restaurant Group aims to have a “brighter, lighter and fresher take” on Philadelphia-area steakhouses with dry-aged cuts, seafood, flatbreads and other Italian staples. The 190-seat restaurant at 7 E. Lancaster Ave. in Ardmore is slated to open in April or May.
DePaul built his reputation over the last 20 years with companies like Starr Restaurants, LaScala’s Restaurant & Bar and stints in Atlantic City at Marc Forgione’s American Cut Steakhouse at Revel and The Borgata. He’s currently the general manager of The Chophouse in Gibbsboro, New Jersey.
Stove & Co. has been on a hot streak, opening a third Stove & Tap location in West Chester last month and soon opening Revival Pizza Pub in Chester Springs.
The opening of DePaul’s Table in Ardmore is continuing Stove & Co.’s goal to build a bigger restaurant ecosystem in Philadelphia’s suburbs. DePaul said in a statement that he wants to build on an already “amazing” dining scene in Ardmore.
“I want to have all hands on deck to help revitalize the Main Line restaurant scene after the shutdown and economic challenges of the last year,” DePaul said. “I also see this as an opportunity to bring something to Ardmore that doesn’t currently exist.”
